Scorpio New Moon

You're excused this week if the Venus-Jupiter conjunction has you feeling a tad complacent and even a touch spendy. Holiday season is upon us.

FYI to Gemini/Virgo types: Mercury in Sagittarius has entered its Retrograde Shadow which could call up some procrastination as well.

Nature is calling all of us to wind down and prepare for a three-week period of philosophical assessment when Mercury Stations Retrograde on Dec. 3-22.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still have the 26° Scorpio New Moon coming on Saturday which offers a profound opportunity for renewal.

Scorpio is the master of transformation, the Alchemist and with a New Moon here, we're granted tremendous regeneration powers

Think back to the Scorpio Full Moon last May. That opened a portal of energy that is being activated again now. That lunation marked an ending. This one signals a beginning in that same area of life.

This New Moon takes place as its rulers Pluto and Mars square each other. This is a push from the universe to change and grow, to confront and transform your shadow side. Like the trees this time of year, we must release what is "dead" without judgment to free up the creative energy behind it.

Channel the Mars sextile Mercury into speaking your truth -- just avoid being brutally honest.

On Tuesday, the Sun moves into Sagittarius, Venus sextiles Pluto and Neptune stations Direct a day later.

With all this fun-loving, compassionate energy circulating, this Thanksgiving is sure to feel slightly less loaded than last year.

Family gatherings will be granted a little extra grace.
