December is a powerful month with some important shifts that will refine our focus, strengthen our drive and ambition and open us up to Divine consciousness. The Galactic Center is activated this time around. It’s crazy powerful. More on that below.
But first, we’re still acclimating to the Mercury station in Sagittarius from last weekend. The pace has likely slowed for many of us and there’s been no shortage of snafus. In fact, my own experience this time (Mercury Retrograde in the 5th house = child breaks arm at daughter’s birthday party) has inspired me to create a “Mercury Retrograde” explainer on my website.
Send me your Mercury Retrograde stories – and where Mercury stationed in your chart -- and I’ll post them (without your name). Sometimes sharing your own mishaps takes the sting out of them.
Now through Friday, Mercury conjuncts Saturn at 26-27 degrees Sagittarius, which is the location known as “the Galactic Center.” This is the center of our universe, the gravitational force that holds everything together. It’s a massive black hole that sits in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy and bathes Earth in infrared and gamma particles.
Earthlings experience those particles as a feeling of being pulled by something larger than life, the sense of losing control but welcoming the surrender – sort of like a birth of a new world order. When the Galactic Center enters our awareness our subconscious mind engages a new paradigm.
This week – and then around the New Moon at 26 degrees Sagittarius on Dec. 18, we have more access to universal consciousness. Meditation could prove to be especially profound and powerful now. Creative visualization could hasten manifestation.
The Universe is speaking to us. Be sure to listen. You could find that events and epiphanies this month could have significance in the long-term.
Saturn has been hovering around this point all year, hitting exact during February, June and November. During this time, we have definitely been called as a society to reckon (Saturn) with our beliefs (Sagittarius) and our sense of reality.
This point was last heavily activated during the 1980s: first by Neptune and the recession of 1982, then Uranus and the Soviet Union’s dissolution in 1987-1988 and Saturn and the launch of the Hubble telescope in 1988-89. Pluto hit this point in 2007-2008 during the Great Recession.
Wherever this degree sits in your chart indicates the area of life that connects you to your freedom and truth.
On Saturday, Mars enters Scorpio where it will transit until Jan. 26. We may find ourselves gaining discipline during this time and focusing our drive and intentions.
Another fortuitous string of days for goal-setting and refining your message are Dec. 13-15 as the Sun conjuncts Mercury and then Mercury conjuncts Venus. The big picture becomes clear and we’re more enthusiastic about achieving a goal.
Whatever you start around the Dec. 18 New Moon will be in full alignment with the Universe. The creative energy that week is off the charts. Harness it and you’ll see your dreams manifest in magical and enduring ways.
By month’s end, we may find ourselves plotting out the next mountain climb. As Saturn transits Capricorn through 2020, reality will take hold and our sense of responsibility will strengthen.
In my next post: what that all means for Donald Trump. Stay tuned.
