Pisces Full Moon

The Moon is Full in the sign of Pisces, the mystic of the Zodiac who contains the wisdom of all the signs combined.

Like the Full Moon itself, Pisces represents the end of a cycle and the surrender to all that is.

It's hard to imagine surrendering to the state of the world as it is right now. Just as Houston recovers, Los Angeles burns and the terrifying Hurricane Irma bears down on Florida and the Caribbean. Too much Piscean empathy and we're drowning in suffering.

But the Pisces Full Moon asks what if sitting with that sense of vulnerability and presence is the whole point?

What if strength and courage come when we validate and embrace our fears? Isn't it true that recovery comes only as we take time to grieve?

This week, if we pay attention, we're reminded that we're part of a river of consciousness, a universal mind. We may even allow ourselves to believe that we are all inherently good.

Maybe in small ways, maybe through epiphany, we'll glimpse a sense of this grand wisdom that guides us all, simply by opening ourselves to feeling, to gentleness, to spirit and intuition.

There's so much to integrate right now. It's tempting to tune out, rather than consciously engage and release.

Our sensitivities are heightened this week and we may have to sit with some scary uncertainty in finances and relationship. We may question our values.

The Pisces Full Moon offers escape. You can succumb to self-pity and delusion. You can hide or manipulate.

Or you can surrender through prayer and meditation. Through self-compassion. Through kindness to strangers.

May these catastrophes bring us closer to ourselves, closer together.
