Getting what you want

Something primal and deep is simmering just below the surface of Thursday’s Aries Full Moon. Maybe you’re feeling the push-pull between self preservation and transcendence and personal will and divine will.

Maybe that sentence alone requires more patience than you have right now. Many of us are fighting the urge to shove our shadow material into that one person’s face. This is fiery, defensive, fuck-it energy.

Full Moons are already emotionally charged periods. This one is packed with unconscious family trauma. Childhood wounding could drive our impulses this week.

Watch my video on the Full Moon here.

The night sky is filled with light all week, illuminating the dark places we would otherwise hide in. Suppressed emotion and unconscious insecurities will be tough to contain now.

Instead, consider clarifying how you feel in no-nonsense ways. Try to avoid needless bickering or blaming and get to the heart of the matter. If you’re more comfortable with co-dependency, life could suddenly provide opportunities for you to be that bitch.

The source of nagging criticism or even bullying will be clear now. Family drama may demand attention. Outbursts are to be expected. Some of them could feel like refreshing catharsis.

There’s some joviality here, too, believe it or not. Eight hours after the moon is full, someone could break the tension with laughter. That’s when Venus leaves the turbulent waters of Scorpio and enters Sagittarius.

Levity returns. We realize we don’t have to take ourselves — or our partners — so seriously. After a period of paranoia and jealousy, we're way more open-minded and free. If a relationship has felt limiting, now’s the time we may head for the horizon.

This Full Moon is involved with the most tense alignment of the month - Mars opposite Pluto — a high stakes process that’s just beginning. We'll get three hits of this intense pressure cooker: Nov. 3, Jan. 3 and April 26.

This brings a now or never quality to this Full Moon. We may feel especially driven to hold the line and fight for what's ours. The elephant in the room must be confronted. The battle must be won.

Chiron in Aries is also involved. So impulses may come from a wounded place. Maybe awareness of an insecurity leads you to demand more respect from another person.

Deep breaths everyone! While you may feel intense pressure to act, there’s no rule that says you must. This is a process. Feel your feelings. Try not to punish other people with your pain. Slow it down. Get outside. Reach out and connect. You’re not in this alone.

If you’re struggling, to find a sense of purpose, consider a session with me.
